Summer!! Rejoice…

~Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

Make Your Salad more enjoyable this summer.

There are dozens of healthy additions we can use to make our salad more filling and delicious.     Include enough protein, fat and carbohydrates to our salad so it is still a perfectly balanced meal.

Warm ingredients: Grilled chicken, meats, onions, mushrooms wilt salad make them slightly warm.
Veggies and fruits:   Peppers, cucumber, broccoli, apples, adding intensity and personality.
Smoked salmon: For a little more upscale salad experience top your greens with a few slices of smoked salmon.
Sardines: Canned fish for extra protein and omega-3 oils in your salad.
Nuts: Walnuts and sliced almonds are my favorite, but feel free to try pecans, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin seeds or anything else that sounds interesting.
Beans: Chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, garbanzo, edamame and other legumes are inexpensive and delicious sources of protein and fiber to add some substance to a salad.
Avocado: Half an avocado is sometimes exactly what a salad needs to take it to the next level..
Egg: Boiled, an egg is a wonderful way to make your salad more substantial. .
Other Mint, chopped basil or cottage cheese for flavor.
Brown rice; Adding 1/2 cup of warm rice to a salad makes it more satisfying. Use single serving.
Try these! Salads are great for summer!

~1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

The kingdom on earth!!

~ Matthew 5:7-10

Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom on earth

The kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God are two phrases for the same thing.  They mean no merely  a future happy state in heaven, but a state to be enjoy on earth.     -unknown

“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” ~Matthew 6:9-10

Strong Woman or A Woman Of Strength

Start everyday with supplication & prayer,
Trust and believe that God will always get you from here to there,
And should your giant steps seem to be moving only inch by inch,
The journey is not as A Strong Woman but A Woman Of Strength.

~Philippians 4: 6

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape…

A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything…but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear…

A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her…but a woman of strength gives the best of her to everyone…

A strong woman walks sure footedly…but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls…

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face…but a woman of strength wears grace…

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey… but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong…

Father’s Day

A Father’s Love

A father is respected because
he gives his children leadership…
appreciated because
he gives his children care…
valued because
he gives his children time…
loved because
he gives his children the one thing
they treasure most – himself.      -Anonymous

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.

~Proverbs 20:7

It is a wise father who knows his child.  But maybe it’s a very wise child who takes time to know his father.              -Anonymous

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

New Beginnings!!

New Beginnings

Every day is a fresh new start,
A chance for a new beginning,
To live better than the day before,
A day to keep from sinning.

This day can be a day to spread
God’s love and peace around,
To thank Him for a lovely world
Where Nature’s gifts abound.

Each day a new experience,
A time to thank and pray,
And to feast upon His mercies
While we make it our best day!

~ Helen Gleason

Spring… have a great Monday!

Have a great Monday!

Today I remember this verses about doing good and cheering the way of life!

~Proverbs 16:24

Bee happy because our

strength and hope come from

The LORD not from our circumstances.

~Proverbs 17:22

In the valley of love

“Tis a gift to be simple

’tis a gift to be free,

“Tis a gift to come down

where we ought to be-

And wen we find ourselves

in the place just right,

“Twill be in the valley of

love and delight.

-Shaker Hymn

Spring…Lovely plants!!

God’s garden

THE Lord God planted a garden
In the first white days of the world,
And He set there an angel warden
In a garment of light unfurled.

So near to the peace of Heaven,
That the hawk might nest with the wren,
For there in the cool of the even
God walked with the first of men.

And I dream that these garden-closes
With their shade and their sun-flecked sod
And their lilies and bowers of roses,
Were laid by the hand of God.

The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,–
One is nearer God’s heart in a garden
    Than anywhere else on earth.

For He broke it for us in a garden
    Under the olive-trees
Where the angel of strength was the warden
And the soul of the world found ease.
    -Dorothy Frances Gurney

Count your garden by the flowers
    never by the lives that fall;
    count your days by golden hours;
    don’t remember clouds at all;
count your knights by the stars not shadows
count your life by smiles nor tears. and to bring your joy this day.
