 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle
and going about from house to house.
And not only do they become idlers,
but also busybodies
who talk nonsense,
saying things they ought not to.

~1 Timothy 5:13

We hear that some among youare idle and disruptive.
They are not busy; they are busybodies.

~2 Thessalonians 3:11

A gossip betrays a confidence;
    so avoid anyone who talks too much.

 ~PROVERBS 20-19

If we are busy
doing the Lord’s work

then we won’t have time to be falling
into chattering about others.

We have escaped like a bird…

~Psalm 124:7-8

We have escaped like a bird
from the fowler’s snare;
the snare has been broken,
and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

To the LORD I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah
~Psalm 3:4

I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
~Psalm 34:4

Happy Independence Day! …

“Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book,
and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited!
Every member would be obliged in conscience,
to temperance, frugality, and industry;
to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men;
and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God …
What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be.”
John Adams
2nd U.S. President and Signer of the Declaration of Independence

Diary and Autobiography of John Adams, Vol. III, p. 9.
