The New Year… ~

A glad New Year...

I made no resolutions for the New Year.
The habit of making plans,
of criticizing,
sanctioning and molding my life,
is too much of a daily event for me.
~Anaïs Nin

Glory to God in highest heaven,
Who unto man His Son hath given;
While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad new year to all the earth.
~Martin Luther

Our thoughts and prayers…

Thoughts and prayers...

prayers for the families, the community, and our country.
What a horrific event. Prayers even for the safety of those children who attend public and private schools.
Prayers for the wisdom of all parents in how to protect children who are in the schools in the future.
Jesus is the Light!

Grateful thoughts ♥12-12-12

12-12-12! It’s here…

It comes around only once every hundred years!

On this day, there remains 13 days until Christmas…

Loving Father,♥

Help us remember the birth of Jesus,

that we may share in the song of the angels,

the gladness of the shepherds

and worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate

and open the door of love all over the world.

Let kindness come with every gift

and good desires with every greeting..

Deliver us from evil by the blessing

which Christ brings,

And teach us to be merry with clear hearts.

May Christmas morning

make us happy to be thy children,

and Christmas evening bring us to our beds

with grateful thoughts,

forgiving and forgiven,

for Jesus’ sake.

~Robert Louis Stevenson

keep it all the year

I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round,
as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time;
the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year,
when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely,
and to think of people below them as if they really were
fellow passengers to the grave,
and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.
~Charles Dickens

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens…
one of my favorites books and films!

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.
