Sunflower honest and upright๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒพ

Sept. 2016 Solvang City CA

๐ŸŒป-Flowers have an expression of countenance as much as men or animals.

Some seem to smile;
some have a sad expression;
some are pensive and diffident;
others again are plain,
honest and upright,
like the broad-faced
sunflower ๐ŸŒป and the hollyhock. ๐Ÿ’›

Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into.

What Cancer Can’t Do??

May Cal2016

She stood in the storm
& when the wind didn’t Blow her away,
she adjusted her sails…

What cancer cannot do??
Cancer is so limited…
It cannot cripple Love –
It cannot shatter Hope –
It cannot corrode Faith –
It cannot destroy Peace –
It cannot kill For friendship –
It cannot suppress Memories-
It cannot silence Courage –
It cannot invade that Soul –
It cannot steal eternal Life –
It cannot conquer the Spirit-

To my lovely and beautiful mother…

Hope, Love, Peace, Courage, Faith …ย the things that are unseen are eternal.

And the joy of being kind.

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

Always Thankful! โ™ฅ

For flowers that bloom about our feet;
For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;
For song of bird, and hum of bee;
For all things fair we hear or see,
Father in heaven, we thank Thee!
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

But whether we have less or more,
Always thank we God therefor.

Summer ends, and Autumn comes… โ™ฅโ˜ป

October 2015 cal.

Octoberโ€™s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down โ€”
October is red
And golden and brown.
~Author Unknown

Summer ends,
and Autumn comes,
and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always
and a full moon every night;
and thus he would never know the rhythms that are at the heart of life.
~Hal Borland

The last rose of summer…โ™ฅโ˜ป

Left blooming alone;
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.”

for the air, the water,
the verdure,
and the song of birds.” ย ย

In languages of rainbows
And secret silence…

Delicious autumn!
My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns.
